Images can be inserted by entering the full URL, eg

 http://usemod.com/meatball.gif
 http://usemod.com/wiki.gif

Relative URLs can be entered by omitting the '//domain.com' from the above. Eg.

 http:/meatball.gif

Image types supported are .gif, .jpg, .png, .bmp, and .jpeg

You can use an image instead of link text like this:

[http://www.usemod.com/cgi-bin/wiki.pl http://www.usemod.com/wiki.gif]

...which is rendered like:

: Unfortunately, this does not work for Wiki links, e.g. [[TextFormattingRules/WikiImages http://www.usemod.com/wiki.gif]].
